Emergency Cards- Stash them away for a rainy day!

As I have explored etsy, I have seen many fabulous handcrafted cards and I am constantly amazed at the talent I see. While I've been appreciating these works of art, I've also been searching for what's missing, trying to find a niche I could work myself into.

I've come to notice that low priced cards are underrepresented. The cards on etsy are not simply cards, but instead extremely detailed works of art. Because of this, the cost of the card plus shipping can approach six or seven dollars. I'm planning to focus on less expensive cards. I've been thinking if I can make my cards the same price as store bought- even with shipping- there might me a market for me. I'm going to try to post as many quality cards as I can for less than $2- what do you think of this idea?

Let me know!

A Lot of NEW!

Well, I took a big step last week and opened up a shop on Etsy.

So far the reaction has been amazing. I've had a lot of encouraging comments and even made 5 sales! As I've started exploring the community, I have started to realize that I need outside advertising so... I joined twitter and started this blog.

Please share any of your info, ideas, or advice that you think will help me become more successful. I will, of course, read and participate in your blog as well.

Thanks!

Here's a card I made last night that I listed this morning. Check it out and let me know what you think!
